Ake-Marriott has been President since 2014 and CEO since 2017. Under her leadership the company has seen remarkable growth, tripled annual revenue, retired debt that upon her arrival exceeded annual revenues, and expanded the range of services to include industrial fan repair.
As Owner and CEO, she looks forward to continuing her work and building the company. “We have a great team here, and we are actively looking to add new team members. This expansion will allow us to capture more market share, take on a larger volume of work, and enhance the level of services we provide.”
Ake-Marriott purchased the company from Lorry Wagner, whose father founded the company in 1946. Wagner said about the transaction, “My father, Morris Wagner, founded Redmond Waltz in 1946 with a vision of supporting Cleveland’s industry through exceptional craftsmanship and innovation. Over the past 11 years, Jennifer’s remarkable leadership has elevated the company in ways that exceed anything we could have imagined. Her dedication honors my family’s legacy while charting an exciting path forward. I am proud to contribute my engineering expertise as Redmond Waltz continues to innovate and position itself as a true partner in growth for its clients, enhancing their success and operational excellence.”
Ake-Marriott added, “We are so excited for the future and for all that I see as possible. I have loved this company since I came here in late 2013, and I am looking forward to continuing what we started more than 10 years ago. Family businesses are special, and I am honored that Lorry trusts me as the successor, to shepherd it on this next leg of the journey. It’s both humbling and exciting. Having Lorry continue as a consulting engineer is further testament to what we’ve done together.”
Ake-Marriott will also continue to serve as President of Ake Environmental, her family’s water-pollution control business The alignment between Redmond Waltz and Ake Environmental will allow for expanded services, and in the future, will likely include field repairs for Redmond Waltz clients— a major differentiator and added service moving forward.
