Johanna's "HOT JOB" of May 2025: AGE Fan with 50 HP Motor
**May 2025 Job of the Month**
RW recently received an AGE fan with a 50 HP Lincoln motor for repair and reconditioning from a local aerospace company.
Upon arrival, the motor underwent an electrical test. We then disassembled both the motor and the fan to thoroughly inspect all parts and components for any cracks or damage that required repair.
All parts were then cleaned and prepared for reassembly. We dynamically balanced the rotor and installed new bearings, seals, and a junction box in the motor. For the fan, the shaft path was weld repaired, and a new fan shaft was manufactured and assembled to the fan blade before being dynamically balanced, and installed, along with new pillow block bearings and V-belts.
The motor mount plate was weld repaired before the motor was reinstalled on the fan, and a test run was conducted, which included a vibration and balance final test.
