Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know when your motor, fan or blower goes down
We may get our hands dirty but we still deliver white glove service
In over 75 years in the business, we’ve learned a lot about what customers need and want. From rapid turnaround quotes and timely, warrantied repairs to flexible work scheduling and equipment storage, we offer impeccable service and loads of options.
WHAT CAN WE TELL YOU ABOUT?
Repair times vary depending on what component is being repaired or replaced, but it can also be affected by the availability of parts or necessary supplies. We do our best to move things efficiently and quickly through our shop and shifts for those projects that are designated as emergencies. But some things like baking and winding, are time intensive and cannot be sped up.
And of course, because we don’t start work without your approval, administrative delays will add to the total time your repair is in our shop. The salesperson leading your project is always happy to provide you with answers about your specific repair.
You will be contacted by our Production Manager to arrange delivery. If there is a method of communication that you prefer, please be sure to let us know.
Not a problem! With your approved quote, we can schedule repairs for a later date, up to three months in the future.
If you decide not to make a repair and want your motor returned to you, you will be charged a nominal inspection fee, and your motor will be returned. Depending on your motor’s condition when it arrived, it may not be able to be reassembled when returned.
Unfortunately, we cannot keep unrepaired motors in our shop indefinitely. We do require a decision about your motor within 90 days of your quote. If we have not heard from you within 90 days of receiving your motor and reasonable attempts to reach you have failed, your motor may be considered abandoned and will be scrapped.
For rush and emergency work we will start your repair with your written approval. Unfortunately, we cannot ship any repaired motor or new motor without a purchase order.
For those with complex approval systems we recommend working under a blanket PO based on anticipated costs per month, per quarter or per year. This allows us to turn motors around without any administrative delay. Whatever your situation, we will always strive to get you a solution.
If one of our repairs fails within one year, we will fix it at no cost, without exception.
